Update: Hunter Mill Road Open after Accident

UPDATE (Noon): Two vehicles were involved in this morning's crash on Hunter Mill Road, which closed the road between Lake Ridge and Hickory Forest drives for more than an hour.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue transported people with non-life-threatening injuries to the hospital. The number of patients transported was not immediately available, the dispatcher said.

UPDATE (10:30 a.m.): Hunter Mill Road is now open to all traffic. At least two cars were towed.

A car accident has shut down a portion of Hunter Mill Road today as vehicles are being towed. 

Traffic is unable to pass through Hunter Mill Road between Lake Ridge and Hickory Forest drives. 

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue's dispatch center said a call for an accident came in around 9 a.m. Eyewitness reports from the scene vary as to how many vehicles are involved. 

People involved in the accident are being evaluated and vehicles are being towed, the dispatcher said.
