Valentine's Day is Just Around the Corner

Where has the year gone?  It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating Valentine's Day and here it is 9 days away.  Well never fear here at Oakton Wine Shop we have several ideas to help you out.  While roses and a card always are good things to get for the Special Person in your life, why not be a little different and get them a bottle of wine to share with you on this day of love!  Here are several suggestions from us here for you to celebrate:

Sparkling/Champagne - Everyone likes to have a glass of bubbly and it is not just for weddings and New Year's Eve.  On Valentine's Day why not pick up a bottle of Sparkling Malbec, Sparkling Rose or a bottle of Classic Champagne.  Here are a few recommendations:

• Anton Bauer Rosenberg Gruner Veltliner - Crisp with tropical fruit notes pairs well with goat cheese and fresh fruit.  $19.99
• Jermann Chardonnay - Everyone loves a good Chardonnay and Italian wine and when you combine it together from one of the top Chardonnay producers you have a great match.  $26.99
• En Numeros Vermells... Garnacha Blanc - From one of our favorite Spanish producers this wine shows nice notes of hazelnut, leche, white apricot and a creamy finish.  $49.99

Red Wine -  Red Red Wine makes everything so fine.   Red wine goes with everything except white carpets.  Here are some of favorites and a special treat:
