Thanksgiving is in the air! No, wait, that's music in the air. For your shopping pleasure, we will have Tara Linhardt and friends to serenade us into the season this Saturday morning. Tara is a well-known bluegrass musician in our area who has recently spent time in Nepal making a documentary about the country's native music. (She is now raising the money to finish the film and CD; learn about how you can help.) She will be with us for about two hours beginning at 10 a.m., so come early and bring the kids so they can dance while you shop. We love it when the children dance!

We will have a great selection of fall vegetables for your Thanksgiving feast as well as some extra fresh turkeys if you have forgotten to order. And of course our bakers will have outdone themselves for your holiday needs. Kristen of Sweet Hearts Patisserie will have Apple Cinnamon, Pumpkin Spice, Salted Caramel, and Dark Chocolate Macarons; Pumpkin Caramel, Almond Apricot, and Bourbon Pecan Petit Fours; Pumpkin Maple and Bourbon Pecan Cake Truffles; and Orange Cranberry and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Tea Cakes.

Fabbioli Vineyards will make a special visit this week, so you can top off your Thanksgiving with local wine too.

To feed the hungry hoards in the meantime, Nyall will have a luscious selection of Celtic Pasties; stock up if you are feeding a houseful, or if you have a houseful all the time. They make a great lunch on the fly or an afternoon snack for growing boys and girls. This week Nyall will have beef, beef and Guinness, chicken tikka masala, Early Thanksgiving (with turkey and cranberry sauce), bacon and egg, and spinach and feta.
