Oakton High School Volleyball Team to Host 'Dig Pink' Rally

The rally is meant to raise awareness for breast cancer research.

The Oakton High School Volleyball team is hosting ‘Dig Pink’ rally to raise awareness for breast cancer research. 

The event starts at 5 p.m. on October 8 at Oakton High School. There will be a performance by the Oakton Varsity Cheerleaders and the Oakton Dance Team before the Oakton Cougars take on Centreville High School's volleyball team.

Proceeds from t-shirts, roses, and more will go to the Dig Pink/Side Out Foundation. The organization that got started in Springfield in 2004 was established to unite volleyball players and coaches through volleyball tournaments, clinics, and other fundraising efforts, according to their website.
