The Northern Virginia Family Service Clock Tower Thrift Shop in Centreville is accepting donations for a new store opening later this month in Manassas.

The NVFS "Save 'N' Serve Thrift store opens on Portsmouth Road on Sept 18.

Until then, new and gently used donations for the new store (no broken or dirty items) can be dropped off at the Clock Tower Thrift Shops in Centreville and Falls Church.

Donations are accepted each week day between 10 and 5 p.m. and Sundays between 12 to 5 p.m. The address for the Centreville store is 6031 Centreville Crest Lane.

NVFS, a nonprofit with the mission of helping families and children, is also looking for volunteers to help get the new store ready for its opening. To volunteer contact Jan Hawkins at jhawkins@nvfs.org or 571-748-2621.

The new 4,397 square foot location will offer bargain hunters deals on clothing, shoes, accessories, books, housewares, linens, small appliances, records, CDs (compact discs) artwork, sporting goods, gift items, collectibles, estate goods and luggage, staff said.
