Yoga Flow with Vandita: A Healing & Empowering Practice

Let senior Kripalu Instructor Vandita guide you in a practice rooted in the Kripalu tradition of being in the inquiry of yoga.

Led by Vandita Kate Marchesiello, E-RYT 500

Saturday March 29
1:30 - 3:45 p.m.

Early Bird: $45; $55 Regular Tuition

In the Kripalu tradition of being in the inquiry of yoga (versus a command performance), Vandita guides you in a practice that ignites your own healing energy and allows you to dive deeply into your own expression of yoga postures.

Visualization of the body, along with mindfulness of the breath and self-observation without judgement, allows anyone to move safely into classical yoga poses with ease and confidence. Adapting and adjusting to find your expression of a pose will enhance the healing benefits in body, mind and spirit. Gain a "can do" attitude by cultivating a trust in your own body wisdom!

In this workshop, you will:
    • Experience a unique guided flow rooted in the tradition of Kripalu Yoga
    • Relax, strengthen and rejuvenate areas of tension and tightness in the neck, shoulders, back, hips and legs
    • Learn how to create a sustainable practice of yoga, meditation, pranayama and deep relaxation
    • Develop trust in your body wisdom
    • Discover joy for a practice that enhances your own healing power
    • Cultivate gratitude for what you already CAN do in your practice!
    • Relax and let go!

    Fee includes handouts.

About Your Instructor: Vandita's expert guidance in yoga asana, meditation, pranayama, and deep relaxation are rooted in four decades of practice, teaching and training in the Kripalu tradition. Vandita fell in love with yoga in 1974. Since then she has been affiliated with Kripalu in many ways and in various capacities. A resident of the Kripalu Ashram in 1977 when Swami Kripalu arrived in America, Vandita is grateful for her time and lessons learned from this inspiring teacher. As the executive director of the Albany Kripalu Yoga Center, she trained yoga teachers, expanded the center to seven satellite locations and, along with her staff of yoga teachers, served thousands of people in the Capital Region of New York. Vandita was a member of the Kripalu Board of Trustees until taking a position in the year 2000 as the Director of the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association. Vandita currently teaches yoga, develops and delivers programs at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, and is the recording artist on the best-selling CD's: Transform, Relax & Rejuvenate; Yoga with Vandita; and Vandita Chants (available for purchase at Dream Yoga). She lives with her husband in upstate New York and enjoys a meaningful life with her three grown children and two granddaughters. Learn more at www.yoganowandthen.com
