Oct. 1-7: Oakton Woman Accused of Stealing from Macy's

FCPS sends alert to schools community about missing Woodson High student

Mahnaz Ghaffari, 43, of 11900 block of Vale Road in Oakton, was arrested last month after she was accused of stealing merchandise from Macy's in the Fair Oaks Mall, where she was employed, Fairfax County Police said.

Fairfax County Public Schools has joined the effort to help find a missing Woodson High student, sending out an alert to the schools community Thursday asking anyone with information to contact police.

The Oakton High football team remains undefeated after defeating Herndon 55-7 in its first Concorde District matchup of the season. 

The Flint Hill volleyball team continues on a 12-game win streak, winning the annual Flint Hill Invitational last weekend and defeating both Georgetown Day and Good Counsel this week. 

The Flint Hill boys soccer team stands strong at the midway point of the 2012 season. 

Despite taking an early lead, the Flint Hill girls soccer team fell to Independent School League foe Georgetown Visitation 2-1 on Tuesday.

The Oakton High volleyball team swept Lake Braddock on Tuesday, but fell to Madison in a close 3-1 loss.
