Congressional Federal donates $20,000 to Capital Caring hospice

Congressional Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Oakton, recently donated $20,000 to the nonprofit Capital Caring to pay for landscape improvements at the hospice's Arlington location.

Congressional Federal Credit Union, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in July, recently donated $20,000 to the nonprofit Capital Caring to pay for landscape improvements at the hospice’s Arlington location.

“Community involvement is a key part of our mission,” said Congressional Federal President and CEO Charles A. Mallon Jr. “We believe in giving back to the communities we serve, and we feel privileged to be able to make this donation to Capital Caring.”

Congressional’s donation will be used to improve the grounds and gardens at the Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center in Arlington. The donation will go toward new capital improvements, including a boulder-lined shrub and flower bed; teak picnic table, chairs and umbrella for use by patients and their families; and a gazebo retaining wall.
