What Would You Improve in Oakton in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Oakton, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in Oakton to make it an even better place to live?

Is it getting rid of online textbooks? Improving traffic along Route 123? Renovating Oakton High School? Seeing more businesses come to our few shopping centers?

What is on your Oakton wish list? What is one thing you would improve in 2013?

Would love to have our own little league baseball here.

I like the idea of on-line textbooks. Students can have textbooks at home without having to lug them back and forth. Also, kids can't say "I can't do the assignment because I left my book in my locker."

I would love to have some safe biking paths along the roads here. It would save using cars & is such good exercise.

We definitely need a nice neighborhood bar with good food and quality beer for adults. Something like Dogfish Head would be a great addition.

These are neat ideas! It's interesting to see what people want most. What do you think it will take to make it happen?
