Cochran, of Oakton, has humbly reached out to his fans on Facebook and Twitter asking for their votes.

"I don't know how to basically beg for your votes without seeming like a desperate slimeball, so I'll just end by saying that I have truly appreciated your support all season long, and look forward to chatting with you all once I finally get off this Survivor rollercoaster on Sunday!" he wrote on his Facebook fan page, which has more than 2,000 fans.

After dodging elimination despite his firm seat on the chopping block from week one, helping Savaii tribemate Jim turn on Elyse, acting as double agent in Ozzy's decision to sacrifice himself to Redemption Island, then promptly switching allegiances after the merge, and nearly beating one of the most dominant competitors in challenges in Survivor history, it's hard to argue Cochran did not keep things interesting, even if controversial, on his Survivor run.

Voting ends at 2:59 p.m. Dec. 18. The "Survivor: South Pacific" three-hour finale will air at 8 p.m. the same night.
