Thanksgiving Week Weather: Sunny, Warmer Temperatures Coming

The week starts out cloudy and chilly across much of Virginia.

Northern Virginia will see a warmer-than-usual Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, with temperatures reaching 60 degrees, about 9 degrees warmer than normal, according to the National Weather Service.

The week starts out chilly and cloudy with temperatures Monday and Tuesday reaching 54 degrees, which is still warmer than average. The days are forecast to be cloudy.

Wednesday warms up a bit to 56 degrees with partly sunny skies, according to forecasts.

Thanksgiving Day on Thursday should see sunny skies and a high near 60 degrees, perfect for getting the kids outside to play before the big dinner or walking off turkey and the trimmings.

Black Friday is forecast to be a repeat of Thursday. With no rain in sight, it's probably good shopping weather for any shoppers out there.

Temperatures are expected to plunge about 10 degrees for Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, and get even chillier on Sunday, with a high of 45 degrees. Northern Virginia will also see more clouds on the weekend.
