Sing the National Anthem During Babe Ruth World Series

The annual event seeks local singers to perform during the league's 13- to 15-year-old championship.

The Babe Ruth World Series is coming to our corner of Virginia next month, and the event's committee has scheduled auditions for local singers who would like to perform the National Anthem in front of the expected crowd of thousands.

The 13- to 15-year-old Babe Ruth World Series is set for Aug. 17-24 at Fireman’s Field in Purcellville. Auditions are set for July 23-25 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Loudoun Valley Community Center, 320 W. School Street, in Purcellville.

Singers wishing to audition should call 703-777-0319 to schedule a time. During the audition, singers must be prepared to perform a cappella.
