Why Go: Expand your children’s horizons by taking them to an orchestra concert at Oakton High School. Your children will be treated to a night of music and culture and may even be inspired to take up instruments themselves!

Where/When: 12001 Sunrise Valley Dr., Reston on Thursday, Feb. 24 from 10-11 a.m.

Why Go: Are you having trouble finding fun winter activities for your kids? Let the Reston Association help! At Kids Play, your kids can play a variety of games, make crafts, and interact with lots of other kids.

Pricing: $3 for Reston Association members, $6 for non-members

Where/When: Patrick Henry Community Library, 101 Maple Ave. E, Vienna on Monday, Feb. 28 from 3:30-5:30pm

Why Go: Are your kids addicted to video games? Help give your children a more interactive experience while still letting them indulge in their guilty pleasure. The Patrick Henry Library is hosting a video game competition for kids aged 6 to 16.

Pricing: Free!

Where/When: Jammin’ Java, 227 Maple Ave. E, Vienna on Monday, Feb. 28 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Teenage and pre-teen girls will be giddy about this Jammin’ Java show! Heartthrob and musician Ryan Cabrera teams up with two other musicians to put on a pop show that any teen (and parent!) will enjoy.

Pricing: $12 for regular admission, $20 for VIP admission

Where/When: Maple Avenue Market, 128 Maple Ave. E, Vienna on Wednesday, March 2 from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Why Go: Do your adorable kids have what it takes to be models? Bring them in for a photo session and find out! The admission cost goes to the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep charity, which gives families grieving from infant death beautiful remembrance photos.
