Why Go: Kids will love this creative puppet show! The Eager Beaver work tirelessly to get his Magic Bunny to take a bath. Children of all ages are welcome to attend this lively show.

Where/When: Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, 1551 Trap Road, Vienna on Aug. 11-14 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Guys and Dolls is an iconic musical that brings the audience into the world of boisterous world of gamblers. Wolf Trap hosts this terrific show. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the story and the classic showtunes.

Pricing: $20 to $80

Where/When: Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry Street SE, Vienna on Friday, Aug. 12 and Saturday, Aug. 13 from 7:30-9:15 p.m.

Why Go: It’s always great to expose their kids to the arts—especially when the arts are performed by other kids! Little kids love watching bigger kids perform. The Vienna Community Center presents a musical that will engage and enthrall your little ones (and big ones!).

Pricing: $14 for adults; $12 for students and seniors

Where/When: Reston Zoo, 1228 Hunter Mill Road, Vienna on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 10:30 a.m.

Why Go: The Reston Zoo not only has loads of animals to see, but on Saturday, Ukulele Phil will be there, too! He plays songs that kids will enjoy—and he invites everyone to get in the spirit by wearing Hawaiian-themed clothes!

Pricing: $12 for adults; $11 for seniors; $9 for kids; free for kids under 2

Where/When: Frying Pan Farm Park, 2709 West Ox Road, Herndon on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 4-6 p.m.

Why Go: Operation Firefly is coming to a spectacular conclusion on Saturday at Frying Pan Farm Park. Bring the whole family, pack a picnic, and enjoy the festivities. There will be educational museum exhibits, interactive sing-a-longs, and loads of fireflies to discover. It’ll be an exciting day of fun where your kids will actually learn new things, too!
