Where/When: Vienna Town Green, 144 Maple Ave. E, Vienna on Thursday, May 19 from 6-10 p.m.

Why Go: Local resident and high school softball sensation Khristin Kyllo tragically died this year as a freshman at Princeton University. She was a softball star at Madison High School and was a very accomplished student. Kyllopalooza aims to honor Kyllo while raising money for charity. Bring your family to the town green to listen to bands, eat, and have a great time!

Pricing: Donations of $20 for standard admission or $35 for admission plus a free T-shirt

Where/When: Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St. SE, Vienna on Friday, May 20 at anytime

Why Go: This summer, Vienna is hosting a scavenger hunt for exploring young minds. Kids can learn about Vienna and enter contests by participating in the town’s scavenger hunt. The hunt begins at the Community Center and can be completed at any time on any day of the summer. This could be a great bonding event for your whole family.

Pricing: Free!

Where/When: Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St. SE, Vienna on Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Time to get your kids off the couch and enjoy the wonderful weather! Spring is a great time to remind your kids (and yourself!) about the importance of fitness. Get active as a family at Vienna’s Fitness Day and hopefully you’ll stay inspired to be in shape the whole year!

Pricing: Free

Where/When: Freeman Store and Museum, 131 Church St. NE, Vienna on Saturday, May 21 at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Why Go: This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, and as a special treat, re-enactors will be acting out the famous secession vote. If your kids are history buffs or if you’re hoping to spark their interest in history, bring them to this event. Re-enactments are always fun to watch and are a great way to learn through entertainment!

Pricing: Free

Where/When: George Mason High School Theater, 7124 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church on Saturday, May 21 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 22 at 2 p.m.

Why Go: The Kintz-Mejia Academy of Ballet is presenting the classic tale of Peter Pan told entirely through dance. Everyone knows the story, but it is rare to see such a unique take on the show. Whether your kids love dance, music or sword-fighting, this show is sure to be a hit.
