Why Go: If you have kids still in diapers, bring them to this interactive session about cloth diapering. Cloth diapers are not only environmentally-friendly, they can save you lots of money, too! Kids can play together while parents learn the ins and outs of cloth diapering.

Why Go: Introduce your kids to the fun of fishing! The lake at Snakeden Branch will be stocked full of trout, so even novice fishermen are likely to make a catch. This is a relaxing outing that the whole family can enjoy together.

Where/When: Nottoway Park, 9537 Courthouse Road, Vienna on Saturday, April 23 at 11 a.m. (registration begins at 9:30 a.m.)

Why Go: Celebrate Easter weekend with a classic egg hunt. Kids can gather eggs and candy and can even win prizes within their age group. Just be sure to bring your own baskets!

Where/When: Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, 400 Center St. S, Vienna on Saturday, April 23 from 2-5 p.m.

Why Go: If your kids are budding daredevils, they will love this rare opportunity to skate on ramps and rails—while being supervised by firefighters! Helmets are required for everyone, and additional safety padding is required for kids under 16. Treat your kids to an afternoon of thrilling—yet safe—fun!

Where/When: Westfield High School, 4700 Stonecroft Blvd., Chantilly on Sunday, April 24 at 8 a.m.

Why Go: The Hollow Trunk is a charity organized by local teenagers in 2009. The organization has raised money for many different, deserving charities in the past. This week they are aiming to raise money for orphans in Guatemala. Help support their cause while teaching your children the importance of giving. Bring your family to the Hollow Trunk’s 5k run/2k fun walk for the cause.
