Where/When: Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St. SE, Vienna on Friday, June 10 at 4 p.m.

Why Go: As the school year comes to an end, most teens are feeling burned out and need a break. Send them over to the Vienna Community Center for a stress-free night of card games. UNO, Skip-Bo, and lots of other favorite games will be on hand.

Where/When: Walker Nature Education Center, 11450 Glade Drive, Reston on Saturday, June 11 at 11 a.m.

Why Go: Young kids love exploring the world around them and many have a particular affinity for bugs! Indulge your little one’s interests and take him/her to the Busy Bugs event in Reston. Kids will learn about many different types of bugs and will even get to feel and hold a few! Be sure to reserve your space by June 8.

Pricing: $5 for Reston Association members; $8 for non-members

Where/When: Reston Town Center, 11900 Market St., Reston on Sunday, June 12 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Why Go: In today’s “thin is in” culture, many older children and teens feel down about their own bodies. Take your kids to this Love Your Body event as a much-needed reminder that are people are beautiful as they are. This event promotes loving yourself while also being healthy and taking good care of your body through yoga and other forms of exercise. Teen girls in particular will love perusing all that this festival has to offer.

Where/When: Wolf Trap Foundation, 1645 Trap Rd., Vienna on Sunday, June 12 at 3 p.m.

Why Go: This unique show is not to be missed! Young vocalists sing while breathtaking artwork is displayed on the screen behind them. Kids and adults will enjoy the beautiful art and music. Bring your whole family for an afternoon of culture and relaxation!

Where/When: Glade Pool, 11550 Glade Dr., Reston on Tuesday, June 14 from 8:30-11 p.m.

Why Go: If you are looking for a great family summer activity, then look no further than Reston’s Dive-In Movies. Moviegoers get to see a flick while lounging around in the pool! What could be more fun on a hot summer day? Just be sure to check the weather—the movie night will be cancelled in the event of rain.
