Get Out: Wine Tasting, Book Launch, Easter Egg Hunts and More

If you are looking for things to do, here are some fun events happening in and around Oakton this weekend.

Friday, March 22

Complimentary Wine Tasting.  4 p.m.  Oakton Wine Shop, 2952 Chain Bridge Rd Ste A, Oakton.

Saturday, March 23

Eggnormous Egg Hunt.  10 - 11:30 a.m.  Free, Ages 1-8.  Games, moon bounces, prices and a magician.  Brown's Chapel Park, 11300 Baron Cameron Ave, Reston.  703-476-4500.

Children's Book Launch: Pluto's Secret11:00 a.m.  Come for an exciting event featuring a new book written and illustrated by Museum employees.  The book tells the true story of this distant world through whimsical artwork and entertaining dialogue, for ages five and up.  National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Herndon Aqua Egg Hunt1:30 - 3:30 p.m.  $10, includes one child and one parent. Ages 6-12, swim attire required.  Town of Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Ave, Herndon.  703-787-7300. 

Reston Zoo's Annual Easter Event.  10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Also on Sun.  Meet the Easter bunny, feed baby lambs, goats, chicks.  Face painting and venture out for the Safari Easter Egg Hunt.  Reston Zoo, 1228 Hunter Mill Road, Vienna.  703-757-6222.

Barrel Room 2012 Futures Tastings. Noon-5 p.m., at Paradise Springs Winery, 13219 Yates Ford Road, Clifton. Enter the barrel room and taste future Paradise Springs wines from the 2012 vintage; learn how oak influences wines, how vineyard site selection affects flavors and the like; groups leave every 20 minutes and sample six to eight wines paired with light fare. $25. 703-830-9463.

2013 Mason Dance Company Gala Concert. 8 p.m., at GMU Center for the Arts, 4400 University Drive, Fairfax.
