Alzheimer's Association Honors Oakton's Rick Gow

Gow was one of twelve local honorees recognized at a reception in January.

Oakton resident Rick Gow was recently honored for distinguished work in promoting Alzheimer's awareness by the Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter.

Gow was one of twelve local honorees recognized as Inspiring Champions at a reception in January in Fairfax.

Gow is a professional wealth management advisor and volunteers his time as a legal and financial expert providing critical information to help support families, caregivers and people with dementia while they work to put financial and legal long-term care plans together.

Gow works to help them learn what types of costs they can expect, including insurance, employees and retirement benefits, personal assets, government assistance, tax deductions, credits and more. He also volunteers at chapter events, promoting the information and support available from the group.

The Inspiring Champions program recognizes the excellent contributions of time, talent and resources that volunteers provide to the Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter.
