Lots of TALL Christmas trees are still left at Vale Church tree lot in Oakton

For folks who prefer trees that are 9 feet, 10 feet or 11 feet tall -- rather than just the standard 6 to 8 foot height, the tree lot at Vale Church in Oakton (corner of Fox Mill and Vale Roads) has an unusual number of these towering beauties this year. Best of all, when you buy these trees, you are feeding anywhere from 120 to 200 people, because all of the tree sale proceeds are donated to the nonprofit organization Stop Hunger Now (www.stophungernow.org). The trees, including fresh-cut and fragrant Fraser Firs and Douglas Firs, were all harvested a few weeks ago from a mountaintop farm in Whitetop, Virginia.  Come enjoy some free hot cider and cookies, while you pick out the perfect tree, wreath or pine roping for decorating. Mon-Fri 6-9 pm, Sat 9 am to 5 pm, Sun 11 am to 5 pm. See you there!
