Oakton United Methodist Church began in the late 1800s as Oakton Methodist Church. Originally a one-room schoolhouse on Blake Lane, the church has grown both in membership and in square-footage. The church, now on Chain Bridge Rd., still pays homage to its modest roots and has two morning Sunday worship services in the small chapel, followed by the larger one.
