The Oakton Girls Basketball team is now 5-0 in Concorde District play after completing the first round of district play with a 58-48 win over Westfield on Tuesday night.
The team is currently ranked 15th in the Washington Metro area by the Washington Post, with a 15-2 season record.
In the Westfield game, senior center Elizabeth Manner and senior guard Helen Roberts each scored 16 points, with sophomore Karli Cronin adding 8, senior Angela Sickels scoring 6, sophomore Lindsey Abed and freshman Alex Marquis each scoring 5, and sophomore Kelsey McWilliams scoring 2.
The Cougars begin the second round of district play at 7:30 p.m. Monday at home against Herndon, and will celebrate Senior Night next Tuesday, the 29th, at home against Chantilly.
