This Week's Weather: Highs Around 90, Possible Thunderstorm Tuesday Night

Best days: Thursday and Sunday — no rain forecast.

Weather forecasters say to enjoy the lower humidity Monday, after some scattered storms blew the mugginess out of the area over the weekend.

Expect temperatures this week to hit the high 80s to low 90s for highs, forecasters predict.

The drier air disappears a bit with more humidity and possible thunderstorms hitting the area on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. The weather service gives the metro area a 50 percent chance of seeing thunderstorms Tuesday night. The Weather Channel gives it just a 10 percent chance.

If we do see a storm Tuesday night, that could bring the humidity levels and temperatures down, according to the Capital Weather Gang.

The Weather Channel is giving Thursday a zero percent chance of rain, if you're looking for a day to plan outdoor activities.

As the weekend begins, there's about a 30 to 40 percent chance for thunderstorms from Friday to Saturday.

Sunday is looking good — 85 degrees and a zero percent chance of rain, although a bit cloudy, according to The Weather Channel.

Expect the following high and low temperatures each day this week (information provided by the National Weather Service and the Weather Channel):

Day High Low Rain?
Monday 90 69 10%
Tuesday 91 69 10-50%
Wednesday 89 67 10%
Thursday 88 69 clear
Friday 87 67 30-40%
Saturday 82 68 10-30%
Sunday 85 67 cloudy
