Last Night to Catch Cougar Cabaret
Annual event at 7p.m. Saturday showcases musical talent at Oakton High School.
On Saturday, the search for local musical talent won't lead you very far.
Dozens of student musicians will perform Saturday in the Cougar Cabaret, the Oakton High School Choral Department's annual fundraiser.
Opening night was Friday.
This year, the show features several solo acts as well as performances by the choral department's four main ensembles and four specialty groups.
Last year, opening night drew 35 student performers and groups. In years past, the acts have covered the classic and the quirky, a range of genres from show tunes to pop hits, from Tony Bennett to Taio Cruz.
The show begins at 7 p.m. in Oakton High School's cafeteria. All proceeds from the $15 admission go toward the Oakton High School choral department.
