Church on Hunter Mill Road files federal lawsuit against Fairfax County

 

A four-vehicle crash on Chain Bridge Road, near Blake Lane, sent two people to the hospital. Hyeong Suh, 23, was charged with reckless driving after disregarding a stop sign, police said.

Church of the Good Shepherd, on Hunter Mill Road in Vienna, filed a federal lawsuit claiming a Fairfax County zoning ordinance violates First Amendment rights. Since the filing, Fairfax County has dropped the citation against the church that prompted the lawsuit.

Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) spoke at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday. He urged Americans to vote for GOP nominee Mitt Romney as the next president to restore the American Dream.

The 11th Congressional District Republican Committee Chairman Terry Wear wrote in a Letter to the Editor, in which he criticized U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-11th District) for passing up opportunities to stop or slow the impending sequestration cuts.
