Oakton Patch receives more reader feedback for its sports coverage than any other section, so we thought we'd put together a gallery of the year's best sports photos.

Instead of picking the most newsworthy moments in sports this year — and there were plenty with both Flint Hill School and Oakton High performing well throughout all three seasons, and countless individuals hitting milestones — we decided to pick the ones that best showed how hard Oakton kids fight for the win.
