This year you can buy a fresh-cut Christmas tree from a local Oakton church, and your purchase will provide 120 life-saving meals* for hungry children and families around the world.

Vale United Methodist Church (located on corner of Fox Mill Road and Vale Road) is holding its annual tree sale starting Saturday, Nov. 24 and running through Christmas. All sales proceeds will go to the global relief organization Stop Hunger Now (www.stophungernow.org).

The high-quality trees are of various sizes and varieties, and come from a farm in New York. Wreaths and pine roping are also available, plus optional delivery to your home. Free hot cider and cookies.

Hours are 9am to 5 pm Saturdays, 11 am to 5 pm Sundays, and 6 pm to 9 pm Mon-Fri.
